LONDON PREMIERE ON OCTOBER 13 2024

For a thousand years, magic has withered at Mrs Giggly’s Magic School. Mrs Giggly herself has lost belief, and her dazzling students—Lathundra the fire-breathing violinist, Tigerfly the trapeze-singing tiger-fly, Choo-Choo the cheeky unicorn, and Bruhnildazon the unicycling snail-headed merman—languish in a grey, joyless world.

Then, in a faraway bedroom, young Shauna tumbles through her toybox and hurltes down a blazing rainbow slide and ends up at the entrance to Mrs Giggly’s Magic School. Her fearless wonder reignites the spark of enchantment, and lessons begin anew!

When students from the distant School of WahumbungIdeen beg for help against the cruel Principal Poop-a-lot, Mrs Giggly discovers his secret sorrow: a bullied dream of becoming a glamorous camel. A spell of kindness restores his heart—and proves that true magic lives within us all.

THE MAKING Of…

Chloé Charody led creative writing workshops with disabled children from Oakfield School Nottingham during the pandemic, when disabled children were spending extra hours in isolation. Charody led weekly workshops via video call where she encouraged the children to engage their imaginations, which led them to help develop the narrative of Mrs Giggly’s Magic School.
